CSI Hamburg 2025: circular design takes centre stage at Booth J30

A new era of circular marine design

My Image

CSI Hamburg 2025 is now in the books, but the energy of these days is still very much alive. On December 3–4, Radici Marine and Aquafil welcomed designers, shipyards, outfitters and partners from across the marine world to Booth J30, turning the Cruise Ship Interiors Expo into a real hub for circular marine design.

Throughout the fair, conversations revolved around a shared question: how can we design beautiful, high-performance interiors that are born to be regenerated at the end of their life? Our answer started from a strong Italian partnership and from a clear direction for the future of onboard flooring.

At CSI Hamburg, Radici Marine and Aquafil presented the results of their collaboration, built around Aquafil’s R2R® (Born Regenerated to be Regenerable) program and the ECONYL® Regeneration System. R2R® rethinks product development from a circular perspective, ensuring that materials can be recovered and regenerated again and again, reducing waste and keeping resources in the loop.

Within this framework, Radici Marine showcased Bloom Back, an IMO-certified carpet collection crafted entirely from polyamide 6 and made using ECONYL® regenerated nylon. Its mono-material construction ensures full recyclability and allows the carpet to be regenerated at the end of its lifecycle, without compromising on aesthetics, comfort or performance on board

Looking ahead to 2026

The days in Hamburg were a starting point, not an arrival. The discussions, feedback and ideas that emerged at Booth J30 have already inspired a new project that Radici Marine and Aquafil are shaping together to open 2026 with fresh perspectives on circular design for marine interiors.

More images from our stand in Hamburg are now available, capturing the atmosphere of CSI and the first steps of this evolving collaboration.
